Is it a bad thing that Tommy Amaker is fired after five seasons at the University of Michigan? After winning twenty plus games three of the past four seasons, what gives? I suppose that unlike the team we usually do not mention in Michigan (well I guess in basketball we can make an exception and mention MSU) the teams they use to get half of those twenty wins against are weak. MSU also plays some weaker teams, but they mix it up with some titans in the sport as well.
Let us hope that we do not find ourselves once again down the road of cheating. Chris Weber and Steve Fischer embarrased the University of Michigan and themselves. Tommy Amaker came with class and left with class -- maybe that was worth more than winning? I think so.
Good luck to Coach Amaker. Good luck to the program too. They just might need it more than him.
